A Ft. Lauderdale woman says it's miraculous that she walked away from a crash that left her sporty Mazda Miata wedged under an oil tanker truck that was making a turn into Port Everglades.
The accident took place along the 2400 block of S. Federal Highway just north of Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport.
The small black convertible car was completely stuck underneath the BV Oil Company tanker truck, the top of the car crushed under the weight of the truck.
The woman, 48, was taken to Broward General Medical Center with minor injuries. She was pulled out of her vehicle by an off-duty Miami-Dade firefighter..
Obviously, this is a reminder to pay attention while driving and to yield to larger vehicles.
